G Fuel Vs. X-Gamer (The Better Gamer Energy Drink)

The gaming industry is a multi-billion dollar industry. No wonder why energy drink brands started to sprout from left to right in recent years. The two most popular and leading energy drink brands specially created for gamers are G Fuel and X-Gamer.

But the question is, which is the better energy drink for gamers?

For me, X-Gamer is a better energy drink for gamers. It has 200mg of caffeine and it has loads of B Vitamins which are both essential in keeping your physical and mental functions high working while you game.

Calories

Between the two, X-Gamer has a higher caloric content compared to G Fuel. Check out the table below:

Comparison of calorie count between G Fuel and X-Gamer.

In a nutshell, calories help the body function at its optimal state so you finish your daily tasks with ease, and deliver them at faster speeds by providing you fuel that the body uses for energy.

While other energy drinks offer a lower calorie number than G Fuel and X-Gamer, I still find the numbers in the table above to be pretty low in the count.

As per the NIH, a healthy person is suggested to have a daily intake of 2,000 to 2,500 calories at most. So even if you have two servings a day of either G Fuel or X-Gamer, you’re still within the healthy limit.

In my opinion, the 6-calorie difference between G Fuel and X-Gamer isn’t a lot, so whichever you pick you still get a good amount of calories. However, if you’re on a very low-calorie diet, then G Fuel is the better choice.

Carbohydrates

Carbohydrates are your body’s main source of energy. And you’ll be glad to know that both brands have a good amount of carbs, with G Fuel having just a couple more than X-Gamer.

Many types of diets have given carbohydrates a bad name, but according to medical professionals, not having enough carbohydrates in your diet equates to not having enough nutrients, which can later lead to possible health problems.

On the contrary, consuming too many carbohydrates also poses a lot of health risks such as diabetes.

It’s a good thing both G Fuel and X-Gamer have an adequate amount of carbohydrates in their formulation. And just like calories, there’s not much of a difference in the number of calories in G Fuel and X-Gamer. Both are good for low-carb diet plans.

Sugar

In this case, both brands are toe to toe with both being sugar-free.

It is a well-known fact that sugar increases the risks of a variety of chronic illnesses. Despite being a natural, supposedly healthy ingredient, it is often overconsumed, therefore possibly a health risk.

Here’s to name a few:

  • obesity
  • inflammation
  • type 2 diabetes
  • fatty liver disease
  • cardiovascular diseases

So how much sugar will you get per serving of G Fuel or X-Gamer energy drinks?

As you can see, both brands are sugar-free! Clearly, there is no competition when it comes to sugar between G Fuel and X-Gamer.

Caffeine Level

Here’s where it gets tedious. X-Gamer has a higher caffeine content than G Fuel by a considerable amount.

Let’s take a look:

G Fuel (7g)X-Gamer (10g)

Comparison of caffeine content between G Fuel and X-Gamer.

I don’t know about you but when I buy energy drinks, it’s the caffeine content I always check first.

Why? Because it’s the determining factor of how effective it’s going to be. Caffeine is the core of a lot of energy drinks, and personally, why I reach for them.

Caffeine is a natural stimulant that’s proven to be effective in keeping you alert and highly functioning during your performance whether you’re gaming or working out. This is why it’s a staple in energy drinks’ formulation.

Personally, I find 100-250mg per serving just enough for the caffeine to kick into my system without feeling any side effects. G Fuel’s 150mg of caffeine is pretty average for an energy drink while X-Gamer’s 200mg of caffeine fall at a higher level.

If you’re used to drinking energy drinks, or any caffeinated beverages, G Fuel should be okay, and enough for you to feel its boosting effects.

However, if you’re not, a serving of X-Gamer might be too strong for your body. Too much caffeine can cause side effects like restlessness, headaches, dizziness, and palpitation. In this instance, you can opt for G Fuel.

For people who have a higher tolerance for caffeine, I would highly vouch for X-Gamer. With its caffeine level, you can have better focus, energy, and longer endurance. More so, if you’re gaming for long hours, then X-Gamer is your guy. If caffeine isn’t your body’s best friend, then G Fuel is a safe bet.

Comparison of Ingredients

With all of that out of the way, let’s see how both brands stand alongside each other in their ingredients.

Vitamins

Although similar in 4 ingredients, X-Gamer contains more B vitamins than G Fuel, which is essential in boosting your energy and giving you a better mood.

There is one vitamin that G Fuel has which can’t be found in X-Gamer is Vitamin C. This vitamin is also known as Ascorbic acid, it helps strengthen your immune system.

In these terms, it’ll be up to you to decide which vitamin is more beneficial for your body’s overall nutrition.

Minerals

As you can see below, G Fuel doesn’t contain a lot of minerals like X-Gamer. But it does have sodium which X-Gamer doesn’t have. sodium plays an important role in keeping you hydrated.

Conversely, the minerals present in X Gamer are responsible for cell maintenance and supporting the immune system. And a lot of other benefits that G Fuel simply does not have. With this, you can weigh out which benefit you’d want best.

I personally find that the minerals of X-Gamer are more fitting of the boost I want.

Other Ingredients

Besides the main ingredients and all the goodness of vitamins and minerals, what else do both brands have to offer? Let’s check out the table below.

In the previous tables above, X-Gamer seems to be winning in all ingredient categories but with the table right above, I am truly impressed.

This explains why there are not too many vitamins and minerals in G Fuel. It takes its nutrients from antioxidants derived from natural ingredients.

This kind of antioxidant comes with a plethora of benefits such as cell development, prevention of diseases linked to aging, and protects the cells from deterioration. With that, G Fuel is officially back in the game.

Artificial Sweeteners Used

G Fuel and X-Gamer don’t contain sugar, instead, they use artificial sweeteners.

Take a look at this table:

G Fuel uses two types of artificial sweeteners while X-Gamer uses only one of these substances.

Sucralose and Acesulfame Potassium are both calorie-free and a hundred times sweeter than table sugar. This means you’re getting the same sweetness without the risks of sugar-induced sickness.

To assure you, both ingredients are considered safe for human consumption and are legal in the US and EU. With this, G Fuel and X-Gamer are in the same ballpark.

Are they vegan?

G Fuel is certainly not vegan. For X-Gamer, however, it is up for debate. A vegan diet excludes animals and animal by-products in its diet.

It has been announced on G Fuel’s official Twitter account that its energy drinks are not vegan compliant, nor is it advertised as such. On the other hand, X-Gamer is vegan as labeled by the eCommerce sites that sell them.

Upon analyzing X-Gamer’s ingredient list, it doesn’t contain any animals or animal by-products. Although there is;t any official announcement from the brand itself, we can list it off as vegan-friendly for now.

If you want to be extra sure, I highly suggest scrutinizing the ingredients yourself. However, if you’re vegan, G Fuel is definitely not for you.

Which is the better energy drink for gaming?

In my opinion, X-Gamer is the best energy drink for gamers. Not to mention the amount of B Vitamins that X-Gamer has which supports your physical and mental functions. Its caffeine content alone makes it a better choice for gaming. As you know, gamers need intense focus and a clear mental function.

Aside from that, you also need to have better endurance as gaming tends to last for long hours, and higher caffeine can help you achieve that. Well, of course, given that you’re not new to caffeinated drinks such as energy drinks.

Final Thoughts

G Fuel and X-Gamer are both great for gamers. They both have beneficial ingredients that the other brand does not.

But all-in-all, I think X-Gamer is the better energy drink for gaming, in terms of its main ingredients.

It has 200mg of caffeine to help you last longer in gaming. It is packed with B vitamins to support your physical and mental functions. It has an adequate amount of nutrients to provide you with energy.
