Nutrition Facts X-Gamer vs Zipfizz
Despite claiming what I already did, it’ll be incredibly helpful to put them side by side to clearly see where their differences and similarities lie.
Let’s dive into the nitty-gritty details of the main ingredients.
Comparison of Calories
X-Gamer contains more calories than Zipfizz.
X-Gamer (10g) | Zipfizz (11g) |
31 calories | 20 calories |
If you’re on a low-calorie diet, of course, you’d want to go for Zipfizz as it contains a lower number of calories. Tracking your calories is tedious work and Zipfizz can give you just enough for a boost, with allowance to consume other caloric favorites.
X-Gamers caloric content isn’t a massive addition, especially if you’re not strict on calorie control. It will give you a good amount of fuel to burn ergo more energy for you to complete tasks with.
Comparison of Carbohydrates
Both brands contain a tiny amount of carbohydrates per serving.
X-Gamer (10g) | Zipfizz (11g) |
3g | 2g |
Whichever energy brand you pick, you won’t get a lot which to me is actually great news. Carbohydrates are simply another form of calories. It’s energy-boosting, but also weight gaining.
As much as possible, you’d want to get just enough carbohydrates for the day to fuel up your energy because too much of this nutrient increases your risk of heart diseases.
As recommended by the DGA, your carbohydrates should take up 45 to 65 percent of your total daily calorie intake. Let’s say your consuming 2,000 calories a day, 900 to 1,300 calories must come from carbohydrates.
Luckily, X-Gamer and Zipfizz contain very low carbs so you’re unlikely to have over consumed the said nutrient even if you take 2 servings of either brand in a day.
Comparison of Sugar
Another good news is that both X-Gamer and Zipfizz don’t contain any sugar.
X-Gamer (10g) | Zipfizz (11g) |
0g | 0g |
There’s nothing to compare here since both brands are sugar-free.
This means you’re free to drink them and not have to worry about having a sugar crash or increasing your risk of obesity or diabetes.
If they’re sugar-free, what makes them taste sweet, then? Well, they both use artificial sweeteners.
Artificial Sweeteners Used
X-Gamer and Zipfizz contain Sucralose while only Zipfizz has Xylitol.
X-Gamer | Zipfizz |
Sucralose | Sucralose |
– | Xylitol |
X-Gamer uses only one type of artificial sweetener while Zipfizz uses two.
Sucralose is a non-nutritive and high-intensity sweetener. This means it’s a hundred times sweeter than your regular table sugar yet doesn’t have any calories. As for Xylitol, well, they function practically the same.
Here’s a video to learn more about Sucralose is:
Xylitol isn’t as sweet as sucralose, not even as sweet as table sugar, but it is a low-calorie sweetener.
Both artificial sweeteners are great substitutes for sugar and many studies supported that they are indeed safe for human consumption.
Comparison of Caffeine
X-Gamer has a higher level of caffeine content while Zipfizz has a low to moderate level.
X-Gamer (10g) | Zipfizz (11g) |
200mg | 100mg |
Clearly, one serving of X-Gamer can give you intense physical and mental energy and focus with its caffeine alone. This is great for activities that require long hours of uninterrupted momentum like gaming and sports like triathlon.
However, note that more caffeine doesn’t always mean better. Overconsumption of caffeine can cause mild side effects like vomiting and headache, or caffeine overdose which in rare cases may lead to death.
The daily recommended caffeine intake is up to 400g. With X-Gamer, you’re already halfway there. It’s important to understand how your body reacts to caffeine by better consuming highly caffeinated beverages such as X-Gamer.
Zipfizz, on the other hand, contains low to moderate caffeine content for an energy drink. Be aware that 100mg of caffeine is still higher than the caffeine in your regular cup of coffee which is normally 80-95g.
The good news is that with Zipfizz you can maximize its perks with fewer risks of experiencing side effects or overdose. Those perks include a boost in energy, improved focus, and hydration.
Ingredients X-Gamer vs Zipfizz
With the main ingredients aside, it’s time to look into the nutrition side of their formula. Besides the boost and concentration, it’s important to know how many benefits you’re getting exactly.
Vitamins
Both brands are packed with vitamins, especially B Vitamins.
X-Gamer (10g) | Zipfizz (11g) |
– | Vitamin A |
– | Vitamin C |
Vitamin E | Vitamin E |
Thiamine | Thiamine |
Niacin | Niacin |
Vitamin B6 | Vitamin B6 |
Vitamin B12 | Vitamin B12 |
Riboflavin | Riboflavin |
Biotin | – |
Pantothenic Acid | Pantothenic Acid |
– | Folate |
There are many similarities between X-Gamer and Zipfizz’s vitamin content.
They both contain 7 types of B vitamins, which are essential in boosting your energy and enhancing your cognitive functions. Aren’t those exactly what you need in gaming and sports training?
However, only Zipfizz contains vitamin A and vitamin C. I think having vitamin C can be advantageous as it helps strengthen your immune system, besides that, there isn’t much of a gap.
Now that we’ve learned about the vitamins in each energy drink, let’s now see what minerals and electrolytes X-Gamer and Zipfizz have.
Minerals and Electrolytes
Unlike vitamins, X-Gamer and Zipfizz didn’t use the same set of minerals in their formulas.
X-Gamer (10g) | Zipfizz (11g) |
– | Sodium |
– | Calcium |
– | Magnesium |
Zinc | Zinc |
– | Selenium |
Copper | Copper |
– | Manganese |
Chromium | Chromium |
– | Potassium |
Boron | – |
Lutein | – |
Choline | – |
Inositol | – |
Both brands use different types of minerals in their formulation. The only common nutrients between X-Gamer and Zipfizz are Zinc, Copper, and Chromium.
All in all, Zipfizz offers more types of minerals than X-Gamer. However, X-Gamer has a unique ingredient called Lutein. This mineral is beneficial especially in gaming because Lutein is believed to be an “eye vitamin”.
If your focus is gaming or anything that results in eye strain, then X Gamer might be a better choice for you.
Amino Acids
X-Gamer contains 5 types of amino acids while Zipfizz only has one.
X-Gamer (10g) | Amount per serving in X-Gamer | Zipfizz (11g) | Amount per serving in Zipfizz | RDI (recommended daily intake) |
L-Tyrosine | 1,500 mg | – | 1.1 – 6 g
L-Taurine | 1,006 mg | Taurine | not specified | 500 – 2,000 mg |
L-Carnitine Tartrate | 100 mg | – | 1,000 – 4,000 mg
Glycine | not specified | – | –
L-Theanine | 100 mg | – | 100-400 mg |
As you may have noticed, X-Gamer is packed with amino acids while Zipfizz only has Taurine. Although taurine itself is good, there is a lot of benefits the brand is lacking compared to X Gamer.
More doesn’t always mean better but even so, the amount of X-Gamer’s amino acids are still within the safe zone so you don’t have to worry about the adverse side effects of too much consumption of amino acids.
As for Zipfizz, its taurine content is stated neither on their packaging nor on their website so there’s no way of knowing how much you’re getting per serving. This is something Zipfizz should work on because for me Taurine is a very complex ingredient that shouldn’t be taken in large quantities.
Comparison of Flavors
In terms of flavors, X-Gamer is superior. It offers a wider selection of flavors and they taste better too based on my reviews.
X-Gamer Flavors
X-Gamer offers 22 flavors in total. I like that X-Gamer took the extra mile to think of creative flavor names instead of going for the conventional ones like that of Zipfizz, although this makes it difficult to know what taste you’re actually getting.

- X-Tubz Hyper Berries
- X-Tubz Nightshade
- X-Tubz Nukefusion

Zipfizz Flavors
Zipfizz has 14 flavors in total.
I’ve mentioned that I like how X-Gamer was creative with their flavor names, but I think one great thing about having flavor as basic as Zipfizz’s is that it prevents consumers from playing guessing games on how a certain flavor will taste like. They’re obvious, and I definitely know how Berry, Grap, and Citrus tastes like.
- Zipfizz Black Cherry
- Zipfizz Blueberry Raspberry
- Zipfizz Grape
- Zipfizz Berry
- Zipfizz Fruit Punch
- Zipfizz Orange Soda
- Zipfizz Citrus
- Zipfizz Pink Lemonade
- Zipfizz Orange Cream
- Zipfizz Lemon Iced Tea

Comparison of Prices
There is a huge difference between X-Gamer and Zipfizz’s prices. Zipfizz’s price is three times more expensive than X-Gamer.
X-Gamer (60 servings) | Zipfizz (20 servings) |
$35.00 ($.58 per serving) | $37.99 ($1.89 per serving) |
The price is a huge deciding factor in choosing a product. You’d definitely want to go for X-Gamer if you want to save a lot.
A tub costs $35 which can make 60 servings, which means you’re paying $0.58 per serving. With Zipfizz, you only get 20 servings for a much higher price, standing at $1.89.
A dollar and a bit more don’t sound much for a serving but with the availability of something cheaper, X Gamer looks a lot more preferable.
But we’ll see towards the end of this article if getting a single-serve of Zipfizz is actually worth your money.
Where to buy X-Gamer and Zipfizz?
X-Gamer and Zipfizz are both available to purchase online, while only Zipfizz is available in stores.
X-Gamer | Zipfizz |
X-Gamer’s official website | Zipfizz ‘s official website |
Amazon | Amazon |
GamerBulk (UK) | Walmart |
– | Physical Stores (e.g. 7-Eleven stores, Walmart stores, Costco Stores) |
Buying both energy drinks take just a few clicks on your computer. The downside is you have to wait for a couple of days for your order to arrive, and prices tend to go up with shipping costs.
It is a lot more convenient to be able to hop on by the store, in and out in a few minutes, rather than going through an entire waiting game. Only Zipfizz offers you this choice.
X-Gamer has yet to be available in stores.
Which energy drink is best for gaming?
X-Gamer is still the best gaming energy drink. It has stronger caffeine of 200mg which can help you last longer during gaming. Its caloric content is enough to keep you going but not too much to have you gain weight without any physical activity.
In extension, they’ve added lutein in their formula which I’ve mentioned is beneficial for your eyes.
Which energy drink is best for sports?
If your priority is lasting long during a workout and staying active through and through, then X Gamer is the better choice.
If you prefer a drink with an upper hand in providing you vitamins, minerals, and amino acids, on top of a caffeine content that can last you enough, then Zipfizz is a good pick.
Final Thoughts
Either of the products is a good choice for gaming and Sports. Both products are evidently formulated for their specific market. So your choice would depend on what you’ll be using it for.
In my opinion, I’d still go for X-Gamer if I’ll be gaming for long hours. X-Gamer has 200mg of caffeine. This is a high level of caffeine that can help you have better focus and alertness, improved cognitive function, longer endurance, and a longer supply of energy.
But, it’s Zipfizz you’d want to grab a few minutes before your workout at the gym. If you’re looking for nutrition aid besides the boost, Zipfizz has that too with more vitamins and amino acids than X Gamer.
