This is one of the things that made me like G Fuel in the first place. If you’re a competitive gamer like me then you would probably understand why.

Full-time Esports players usually live a sedentary to a moderately active lifestyle. This means that we should be very cautious of the calories we consume because we can’t usually burn them off.

Now, let’s look into the caffeine content in G Fuel per serving.

Caffeine Content

G Fuel contains 150 mg of caffeine per serving.

G Fuel’s caffeine content is quite moderate compared to other brands.

The recommended amount of caffeine intake for adults is 400mg per day. Exceeding this amount can lead to headaches, nausea, insomnia, muscle tremors, and health risks.

Caffeine has a lot of health benefits such as:

  • improves brain health
  • lowers risk of stroke and heart disease
  • boosts your energy levels
  • protects you from cancer
  • prevents diabetes
  • lowers chances of getting depression

Personally, I think that the 150 mg of caffeine per serving of G Fuel is just enough to keep you active and energized before a busy day. If it’s still not enough, you can always drink another serving and it will still be below the 400mg caffeine intake limit.

Next up, let’s discuss the sugar content of G Fuel.

Sugar Content

G Fuel has no sugar at all.

And this is one of the things that makes this formula an absolute steal!

G Fuel’s sweetness comes from artificial sweeteners namely sucralose and acesulfame potassium.

The use of nonnutritive or artificial sweeteners like sucralose and acesulfame potassium has been approved by the FDA to be used as a sweetener in food and beverages.

Replacing sugar-loaded beverages with noncaloric beverages reduced weight gain and fat accumulation. Sugar-sweetened beverages can make you gain more weight compared to solid food as they do not lead to a sense of satiety.

Drinking sugar-sweetened beverages may also cause you to eat more fast food and be unproductive.

This is great news because who doesn’t want a healthier alternative to sugar?

No matter who you are, I think that everyone will love that G Fuel contains no sugars because it will suit everyone’s health. Especially if you’re someone who has health conditions such as diabetes and is closely monitoring their blood sugar levels, then G Fuel is the energy drink for you.

On the other hand, if you’re just a regular adult who wants to drink G Fuel every day, then it’s amazing to know that drinking G Fuel will not harm your sugar levels.

Now, what different flavors can we choose from? I’m sure you’re gonna love the flavors G Fuel has.

I’m sure you’re still curious about what G Fuel actually tastes like. Let’s now discuss my personal review on the flavors of G Fuel to give you a better idea.

What does G Fuel taste like?

I’ve tried about half of the G Fuel flavors and most of them did taste fantastic!

Here are some of the flavors that I’ve tasted and my thoughts on them:

Bahama Mama

The name of this flavor is what go me to try it in the first place. Admit it, Bahama Mama sounds so chill and fun.

This flavor is a mixture of orange, pineapple and I’m pretty sure there’s coconut in there.

My tongue felt like it was on vacation, literally! The taste reminded me of a summer vacation in the beach.

Though, as much as I love coconut individually, the taste of coconut combined with orange and pineapple was just a little too weird for me.

Overall, it was a so-so flavor. I’d give it a 7 out of 10.

Bubble Gum

I like this bubble gum flavor. It’s one of my favorites. I feel like a kid every time I have this flavor. I thought I was eating cotton candy.

I’d give this flavor an 8.5 out of 10.

FaZeberry

I tried FaZeberry predominantly because of the FaZe clan. It tasted like the berry jam I used to eat every day back in high school.

It tasted like different types of grapes and berries that were crammed into a single drink.

However, there was some kind of weird aftertaste during my first try.

Overall, this flavor deserves an 8.5 out of 10.

Strawberry Banana

This flavor is a combination of my two favorite things in the world, strawberry and banana. It tasted like a strawberry-banana cake!

This flavor is definitely included in my top 3 of the best G Fuel flavors.

It’s a perfect 10 for me!

Strawberry Shortcake

I don’t just like strawberries… I absolutely adore it! I have to say that this is one of G Fuel’s best flavors yet.

This is almost as good as a strawberry milkshake.

This flavor never fails to satisfy me.

It’s a 10 out of 10 for me!

Overall, choosing and trying out the flavors of G Fuel surely was fun and exciting. It’s an experience that really got me wanting to try more and more flavors if given the chance. And so far, they all taste so good!

You surely won’t be disappointed with the many flavors to choose from because there’s a flavor for everyone.

At this point, let’s talk about the safety of G Fuel. Is it really safe?

G Fuel Lead Content

G fuel lead content
G Fuel’s warning label on lead content.

G Fuel contains traces of lead in its formula. However, the exact amount of lead in G Fuel’s formula is not publicly reported.

Now before you panic, hear me out.

As you already know by now, the ingredients used in G Fuel’s formula are natural. This simply means that the small traces of lead in the formula are soaked up through their roots. So there’s really no surprise here.

Still uneasy?

Well, would you feel more at ease if I tell you that even vegetables and baby food contain traces of lead?

Exactly! There’s nothing to worry about here. The amount of lead in G Fuel’s formula is most likely safe.

The FDA monitors and regulates the level of lead in dietary supplements and sets their daily limit to 12.5 micrograms for adults.

Then how come there’s a warning label?

According to the California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment, businesses must provide warnings to Californians about significant exposures to chemicals that can cause cancer, birth defects, or reproductive harm.

The warning label provided by G Fuel is simply a legal requirement so consumers may be given a chance to make an informed decision. It is simply not an indication that the formula is dangerous.

Let’s now take a look at the possible side effects G Fuel can cause.

Does G Fuel have side effects?

Unlike other sugar-loaded energy formulas, you can drink G Fuel without worrying about any side effects.

However, the answer to this question may entirely depend on your level of consumption.

Keep in mind that a single serving of G Fuel contains 150 mg of caffeine, consuming excessive amounts of this psychoactive drug may lead to side effects or health complications.

Excessive ingestion of caffeine may lead to:

  • Abnormal stimulation of the nervous system
  • Increase risk of miscarriage
  • Decrease tonus of the lower esophagael sphincter
  • Intrauterine growth retardation

I recommend that you stick with one serving per day and see how your body reacts to it during and after consumption.

Listen to your body, especially if it involves your health. Be cautious of what you consume and ensure you’re having proper nutrition.
