Nutritional Facts

Nutritional facts of G Fuel (left photo) and Zipfizz (right photo).

Comparison of Calories

G Fuel contains more calories than Zipfizz. As you all know, a calorie is a unit used to measure energy in the food and drinks you consume.

Here’s a comparison table:

G Fuel (7g)Zipfizz (11g)
25 calories20 calories

Having more calories can mean you get more energy because there is more fuel for your body to burn. G Fuel can help you there.

Although, in my opinion. this difference isn’t a lot. Zipfizz can give you an energy boost that is very similar to G Fuel. The good side is that whichever you pick, you have a low-calorie energy drink as the recommended daily intake is 2,0002,500.

Products that are low in calories are great for people who are on a weight control diet plan. If that’s you, then G Fuel and Zipfizz are both good for you.

But, if you’re someone who lives an active lifestyle, G Fuel can provide you with a bit more energy supply.

Comparison of Carbohydrates

Just like calories, G Fuel takes the lead in terms of carbohydrates content only by a few. Its carbohydrates are 3 grams higher than Zipfizz.

Let’s take a look at this table of comparison:

G Fuel (7g)Zipfizz (11g)
5g2g

Either of the two is considered low in carbs as the recommended daily intake plays around 225 to 325. But if you’re really strict on your carbohydrates consumption, then Zipfizz is the better option.

A low-carb diet is a very popular type of diet that promotes weight loss, though neither of the products promotes weight-less, they’re unlikely to contribute to weight gain.

If you’re on a weight loss diet, you can definitely opt for either of the two.

Comparison of Sugar

If this table below hasn’t made it clear already, both G Fuel and Zipfizz are sugar-free.

G Fuel (7g)Zipfizz (11g)
0g0g

You’ll be glad to find out that both of these brands can satisfy your sweet cravings without the addition of sugar.

If you’re wondering how they’re sweetened, G Fuel and Zipfizz use artificial sweeteners, which are non-nutritive substances and are a hundred times sweeter than table sugar.

This means that there is no sugar crash, and the risk of diabetes and other related diseases is reduced.

How much caffeine do G Fuel and Zipfizz have?

G Fuel has way more caffeine than Zipfizz. Here’s their content:

G Fuel (7g)Zipfizz (11g)
150mg100mg

Caffeine is a natural stimulant that increases your brain activity and boosts your energy. The addition of this in energy drinks helps you stay awake and alert.

For me, the caffeine level of an energy drink plays the biggest determining factor in how effective it can be for someone.

If you’re a frequent energy drink consumer, it’s likely that you’re tolerance for caffeine had increased over time. This means that if a serving of Zipfizz which has 100mg might be too weak for you to feel its boosting effect.

On the contrary, if you’re too sensitive to caffeine, you might want to stick with Zipfizz. It will deliver what it’s supposed to with reduced risks of experiencing side effects like headache, dizziness, and nervousness.

It’s important to remember that lower caffeine content doesn’t guarantee a safer choice. A 100mg of caffeine can still put you at risk for overdose once consumed in multitudes, or if your body isn’t adept at it.

Comparison of Ingredients

With that aside, let’s get busy with the other health-beneficial ingredients both drinks may or may not have.

Zipfizz contains more types of vitamins than G Fuel.

I’ve put side by side their similar ingredients, and you can clearly tell that Zipfizz contains five more vitamins than G Fuel. This means that G Fuel is not only lacking in ingredients but also the benefits these bring.

Minerals and Electrolytes

This is another win for Zipfizz. It contains way more minerals and electrolytes than G Fuel, as G Fuel only has one.

This is yet again a lot of beneficial minerals with which its effects can greatly contribute to your health if you chose to consume it.

Antioxidants

Both ingredients are very interesting as G Fuel and Zipfizz used natural ingredients as their antioxidants.

However, G Fuel offers a great multitude of antioxidants than Zipfizz.

It is peculiar, however, that despite consisting of more ingredients, G Fuel only has a total of 7g in the mix, whereas Zipfizz has a good amount of 11g of their antioxidants.

With this, you can decide whether you find the variety or the amount more befitting to your needs.

Other Ingredients

G Fuel is a screaming victory in this table.

With two specialized complexes, G Fuel contains many amino acids and unique natural ingredients like velvet bean seed and bacopa leaf extract whereas Zipfizz only has taurine with zero complexes.

Artificial Sweeteners Used

I’ve brought up the fact that both brands are sugar-free. Artificial sweeteners are what makes them sweet.

G Fuel and Zipfizz are sugar-free.

G Fuel and Zipfizz both contain sucralose. I’m sure it rings a bell because it always appears on the ingredients list on the back of the packaging of your food.

G Fuel (7g)Zipfizz (11g)
SucraloseSucralose
Acesulfame PotassiumXylitol

Only G Fuel has Acesulfame Potassium and only Zipfizz has Xylitol.

I don’t see any competition here since these sweeteners share the same features. They are both calorie-free and high-intensity sweeteners.

These artificial ingredients are believed to be safe for human consumption and appeared on the list of sweeteners in food legal in the US and EU.

Which brand offers more flavors?

Between the two, G Fuel definitely has the upper hand. Check it out below.

  • Zipfizz Pink Lemonade
  • Zipfizz Orange Cream

If you’re adventurous and always on the lookout for something new, then you won’t run out of G Fuel flavor options. Not to mention their flavors are super tasty. The Rainbow Sherbet and Tropical Rain flavors are my favorite ones.

Zipfizz’s flavors are also okay but I think they’re pretty basic and nothing very unique.

Where to buy G Fuel and Zipfizz?

G Fuel and Zipfizz are both available online and in-stores. Here’s where you can find them:

Regardless of whether you’re a tech-savvy shopper or a traditional one who likes to see their items in person before buying them, both G Fuel and Zipfizz fit the bill. You can purchase them online or in the convenience store near you.

Which brand is more affordable?

G Fuel (40 servings)Zipfizz (20 servings)
$35.99 ($.89 per serving)$37.99 ($1.89 per serving)
Price comparison of G Fuel and Zipfizz.

There is a $1 difference in the price between G Fuel and Zipfizz. This personally isn’t a lot, although if you’re looking for a good drink that is easier on the pocket, then go ahead and opt for the dollar-cheaper option.

Which brand is better for gaming?

Gaming is done in long hours, therefore you’ll need longer endurance, focus, and energy.

I think the better energy drink for this is G Fuel since it has a higher level of caffeine and a higher count of energy-providing nutrients. For other factors, they’re fairly similar.

If, as a gamer, vitamins, and minerals are fairly important to you, then you can scrutinize which of the antioxidants or abundance in minerals are better for your liking.

Which brand is better for physical sports?

For sports, I think staying hydrated is paramount, and the energy drink brand that is loaded with electrolytes is Zipfizz.

Compared to G Fuel, Zipfizz has lower caffeine content, but it sure is an adequate amount to boost your physical and mental energy which are all crucial in playing sports. If you’re looking for more of a boost then G Fuel might be for you.

In terms of hydration, both G Fuel and Zipfizz are definitely good options with the presence of sodium.

Evidently, it boils down to what benefit you’re looking for when you’re physically active.

Which brand is better for studying?

In my opinion, Zipfizz is the better energy drink for studying. Its 100mg of caffeine is enough to keep you awake and alert but not too much that it has you bouncing off the walls. It also has more B Vitamins than G Fuel.

B Vitamins play a lot of roles in increasing your brainpower and boosting your energy levels.

The right energy drink can help you improve your cognitive functions such as learning, memorizing, and problem-solving.

Which brand is better for people with hectic schedules?

This is a tough decision to make since both brands can be beneficial to busy people.

I’d say if you’re someone who travels a lot in a day, hydration is important so I think Zipfizz has the edge on this with their electrolytes.

But if despite being stagnant, you’re mentally busy, then G Fuel is the better choice. It can keep you awake for longer hours, and reduce physical and mental fatigue from sitting on your chair all day.

Which brand is better for a weight-loss diet?

While neither of the two brands is specifically crafted for weight loss, both brands can serve as great support for your weight loss diet plans because they are low in calories, carbs and don’t contain any sugar. This means neither will make you gain weight or lose weight.

However, if I were to choose only one, in terms of losing weight, I’d pick Zipfizz. It’s the one that has a lower-calorie and carbohydrate count.

Summary

I think both energy drinks are great depending on the type of lifestyle you have.

Zipfizz is preferable on days you’d have to travel for work where water is hardly available, or physical activity has you sweating bullets. Conversely, G Fuel is great for gaming on weekends and light workouts.

I also want to say that G Fuel’s formulation is too good to pass up. And, price-wise, I feel that I can get more value for my money from it than with Zipfizz.
