Glitch Energy

Glitch Energy Drink Review (Truth Revealed)

I’m giving Glitch Energy a rating of seven out of ten.

In a nutshell, this energy drink is sugar-free, gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, vegan-friendly, and organically colored and flavored.

In Glitch Energy, there is 150mg of caffeine, along with a few vitamins and amino acids such as Taurine, L-Citrulline, L-Tyrosine, Green Leaf Extracts, and Dynamine which increases the half-life of caffeine by two times without increasing the dose.

However, Dynamine is included in it, which is prohibited in most sports because it has adverse effects on the body. In that case, I’d rate it seven out of ten.

Read on to see more about Glitch and its components.

Calories In Glitch Energy

There are five calories in every serving of Glitch Energy.

Because it has only a few calories, it’s a great alternative if you’re trying to lose weight or simply want to consume fewer calories. Calories are units of energy derived from the consumption of food and beverages.

To maintain a healthy diet, it is also important to consider quantity as well as quality. In order to see how much fuel you’re consuming and whether it’s too much, you should check calorie databases and nutrition labels regularly if you’re attempting to lose or maintain weight.

Side Effects of Calories:

The following health complications may result from consuming calories in excess volumes:

  • Increased blood pressure
  • Overweight
  • Fatty liver disease
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Cancer

Glitch Energy contains low calories, so you can indulge in other calorie-dense foods. Here’s a video for more information on calorie consumption.

Carbohydrates in Glitch

Each serving of Glitch Energy has one carbohydrate.

You can think of carbohydrates as energy supplements. Whether you eat a meal or drink a drink, carbohydrates are always present in them.

The Dietary Guidelines Association (DGA) recommends consuming carbohydrates in moderation, with carbohydrates contributing 40% to 60% to total calories.

As another limited nutrient, carbohydrates are a component of Glitch Energy. Those following a low-carb or ketogenic diet will benefit from this beverage since it contains almost no carbohydrates.

Side Effects of Carbohydrates:

The following are side effects of having carbohydrates in an excessive measure:

  • Weight gain
  • Cardiovascular disease
  • Poor metabolic health
  • High blood sugar

An excessive intake of carbohydrates is known to cause poor metabolic health. Luckily, Glitch doesn’t contain much of this so you can rest assured you’ll be fine.

Sugar In Glitch

Sugar is not a component of Glitch Energy.

The body needs sugar for energy, so it is a carbohydrate. The mixture enhances the flavor of foods and can be found in their natural state in fruits, vegetables, and other foods.

There is no sugar in Glitch energy

The health benefits of sugar include boosting your mood, as well as function as an energizer, and stimulating cognition.

According to the DGA, males should have nine teaspoons of sugar (36g) per day, and females should have eight teaspoons (26g) per day. As a source of energy and flavor, sugar is an important part of energy drinks.

Side Effects of Sugar:

The following are side effects of having sugar in an excessive measure:

  • Weight gain
  • High blood sugar
  • Type 1 diabetes

Again, this is excluded in the Glitch formula so you won’t have to worry about acquiring any of these complications from the drink. It’s best, however, to still keep track of your sugar consumption elsewhere.

Artificial Sweeteners in Glitch

In order to give Glitch Energy its sweet taste, Sucralose and Acesulfame-K are used.

Sugar is substituted in Glitch Energy with Sucralose, a calorie-free sweetener. It is believed to have a sweetness of 400-700 times greater than Sucrose, the popular table sugar.

Acesulfame-K, a sweetener 200 times sweeter than sugar, is another zero-calorie sweetener. The bitter aftertaste of this compound is one of its most common uses, which is why it is almost always combined with sucralose.

However, the long-term effects of these artificial sweeteners remain unknown.

Side Effects of Artificial Sweeteners:

The following is a list of artificial sweetener side effects:

  • Cause our bodies to reject certain drugs
  • Joint pain
  • Vertigo
  • Chronic Illness

If you’re worried about your consumption, it’s best to consult a medical professional to better soothe your mind.

Caffeine Content In Glitch Energy

Approximately 150mg of caffeine is present in each serving of Glitch Energy.

Caffeine directly contributes to increased energy levels. Besides improving the health of your physical and mental faculties, it also boosts the energy levels of your body.

For an energy drink, Glitch Energy contains 150mg of caffeine per serving. I prefer energy drinks with caffeine content between 100mg and 200mg per serving. Glitch Energy contains caffeine, as a result, so you’ll experience an energy boost without any unwanted side effects.

It is important to understand that the FDA has established a daily caffeine absorption limit of 400mg, a limit that should be strictly adhered to.

Side Effects of Caffeine:

There are a number of health problems you can develop if you consume caffeine in excess:

  • Anxiety
  • Acne problems
  • Caffeine addiction and dependency
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle breakdown
  • Insomnia
  • Rapid heart rate
  • High blood pressure

With these, it’s best you know how your body receives caffeine and its tolerance. Consumption and regulation are your responsibility so you should adjust your caffeine consumption depending on your body.

What is Dynamine?

A nutraceutical company named Compound Solutions, Inc. manufactures the ingredient Dynamine. It is mainly composed of Methylliberine.

Many people consume this alkaloid naturally as fuel, such as in coffee beans, tea leaves, and other naturally occurring substances.

Adenosine receptors are inhibited by Dynamine and dopamine receptors are activated. This means that it functions almost similarly to caffeine and provides you with energy whilst holding back fatigue.

But as mentioned, Dynamine has developed a bad rep as an ingredient.

Why is Dynamine banned?

In most sports, Dynamine is not permitted due to its negative effects.

Fitness enthusiasts and bodybuilders use it. In addition to inducing high blood pressure and other cardiovascular diseases, it stimulates adrenaline flow in the body.

Having said that, this can be concerning to have as inclusion in Glitch. I personally find it suspicious that Glitch would come to include it in their formula at all. This is definitely a point of concern so I am a little wary of giving the brand a shining rating.

Is Glitch Energy Keto-Friendly, Gluten-Free, and Vegan-Friendly?

Yes! Glitch Energy is keto-friendly, gluten-free, and vegan-friendly.

Keto diets are lower in carbs, higher in fat, and are considered low-carb. A variety of health problems have been treated with its use in numerous studies, including weight loss. A very low amount of calories and no sugar are found in this beverage. And as mentioned, Glitch contains a very low caloric count making it suitable for a Keto diet.

Among other grains, gluten is a protein that can be found in wheat, barley, and rye. Most people who follow a gluten-free diet avoid highly processed foods like bread, pasta, and cakes. Despite having gluten intolerance, you can still consume Glitch Energy drinks.

Lastly, veganism refers to a lifestyle in which animals are not viewed as commodities, and an attempt to avoid animal products, particularly in diet.

The vegan diet does not include dairy, eggs, or honey. Nor do they wear fur, leather, wool, or down, nor do they use products that are tested on animals. As far as we’re concerned, Glitch has declared its product vegan-friendly.

Is Glitch Energy Dairy-Free and Soy-Free?

Milk, soy, and other dairy ingredients are all excluded from Glitch Energy. This is yet another fact addressed officially by Glitch itself.

Dairy comes in many forms

It is possible that dairy-free diets and lactose-free diets can cause inflammatory conditions, such as acne and eczema, both internally and externally. There is no dairy component in the formula of Glitch Energy.

As an alternative diet to the standard diet, the soy-free diet removes all foods containing soybeans and their byproducts. The products of Glitch Energy are soy-free because soy can cause allergic reactions in some individuals.

Is Glitch Energy bad for you?

The effects of Glitch Energy are not harmful if consumed in moderation.

The Glitch Energy drink is marketed to gamers, providing a few added benefits over a standard energy drink. These benefits include improved memory, stamina, and processing speed.

Taking two servings will contain 300mg of caffeine, since the caffeine levels are high (150mg), which is closer to the daily maximum of 400mg recommended by the FDA. It is also worth noting that this beverage contains Dynamine, which is actually banned in some countries.

Therefore, I believe one serving is sufficient each day of this beverage. Don’t eat more than two servings per day, however, if you want to feel more energetic. As per the Dynamine, that’s your own discretion but I do not endorse it.

Glitch Energy Flavors

Glitch contains only a few flavors:

  • Cyber Sunrise
  • Electric Lemonade
  • Spaceberry

This is admittedly a very short list but the brand has been around for only a while so it’s best to give them some time to expand on that.

Personally, I enjoy their Electric Lemonade flavor for its accurate and spot-on lemon flavoring. It’s not at all overwhelming nor too little. It’s just the right balance and provides a good boost afterward.

Despite the flavors, you can rest assured that Glitch is going to give you a boost. However, it’s somewhat concerning that this is likely coming from Dynamine.

How much is Glitch Energy?

Glitch is sold in either single-serving packets or in tubs.

Their packets come in a bundle of 10 for $25, and their tub of 30 servings cost $44.97 which comes up to about $1.4 per serving.

Compared to its competitors, this is definitely pricey. Bigger brands come in tubs with more servings for lesser prices. Although Glitch offers good benefits, it’s likely you can find similar benefits for a better deal.

Bottom Line

Vitamins and minerals are included in Glitch Energy. Glitch Energy promotes mental alertness and boosts energy. Nevertheless, I still rate it 7 out of 10 in spite of the Dynamine being banned in certain sports.

There are some health implications associated with caffeine’s high content.

Glitch’s boasts of increasing caffeine boost without actually increasing caffeine dosages with the help of Dynamine also seemed strange to me.

This type of information is disappointing due to the mentioned causes of Dynamine.
