Caffeine Content In Nau Energy Drink
To your surprise, there is no caffeine in Nau Energy Drink. No caffeine and still an energy drink? Yes, I understand how surprising that sounds but it is definitely an energy drink.
Nau is free from caffeine and that means all the harms and downsides that come with the consumption of caffeine are not in Nau Energy Drink.
Nau Energy Drink fulfills the job of caffeine in a better way by using natural ingredients. These ingredients help you stay focused and keep you active just in the way caffeine does but without causing harm to your body.
Drinking caffeine does make you active but surviving on caffeine does have a lot of harm such as:
- High Blood Pressure
No caffeine means none of these effects will be faced by you, which is a good thing. Caffeine consumption can be difficult to keep moderated especially when you’re not getting the boost you need.
With Nau, you won’t have to rely on caffeine for the boost ergo you can rest assured that you won’t have to keep a constant tab on your caffeine intake with this drink.
Sugar Content in Nau Energy Drink
Nau energy drink doesn’t contain any sugar.
It’s a good thing to take out the sugar since it’s bad for your health. Sugar-containing energy drinks aren’t very healthy, particularly when consumed daily.
According to American Health Association (AHA), women should consume no more than 25 grams (6 teaspoons) of sugar daily, while men should consume no more than 36 grams (9 teaspoons).
While consuming Nau Energy Drink, your blood sugar levels will not be raised. The amount of sugar you consume every day should be kept in mind though.
As a result of consuming too much sugar, you may encounter the following problems:
- Increased risk of heart diseases
- High blood sugar levels
- Skin aging
- Fatty liver
- Increased risk of cancer
Here is a video explaining the effect of sugar on the body.
Artificial Sweetener In Nau Energy Drink
Rather than sugar, an alternative is used in this sugar-free energy drink. Sucralose is used in Nau Energy drinks. Splenda is another name for this artificial sweetener.
Unlike other artificial sweeteners, sucralose does not leave a bitter aftertaste so you can still enjoy the flavor of the drink even without the sugar.
There is no need to worry about artificial sweeteners such as sucralose. The FDA has approved sucralose for human consumption.
Using sucralose instead of sugar can help you keep your calorie intake in check. Diabetic patients who need to monitor their sugar intake will particularly benefit from this feature.
Splenda sweetens foods and drinks in the same way that regular sugar does, but it does not spike your blood sugar levels.
Cognivia in Nau Energy Drink
Nau Energy Drink has Cognivia in it.
Cognivia is a nootropic made from vegetable extracts. It combines Garden Sage leaf extract with Spanish Sage essential oil for enhanced effectiveness.
The multiple health benefits of sage have been known for centuries. Literature has extensively examined the effectiveness of this plant on cognitive performance so its inclusion is definitely a beneficial one that’ll be helpful for concentration and any tasks that require optimum mental performance.
Comparing the benefits of cognivia with individual Sage sources, there is evidence that cognivia improves long-term memory, both in a single session and over an extended period.
Cognivia is an innovative formulation with synergistic activity. It plays its role in the improvement of working memory. Its inclusion in the formula can greatly contribute to any tasks that require mental work and can provide you support throughout.
L-Theanine in Nau Energy Drink
Nau Energy Drink contains L-Theanine as an active ingredient. Theanine is an amino acid, which can help people feel more relaxed and lower anxiety.
It has not been found that supplements containing theanine have any side effects
Despite its supposed sedative properties, research suggests that it does not cause drowsiness, but rather relaxes the mind.
There is some evidence that L-theanine can boost the immune system. L-theanine was shown to be effective against upper respiratory tract infections according to a study published in the journal Beverages
According to a randomized trial conducted on people experiencing stressful situations, L-theanine reduced anxiety and stress
An additional study that appeared in the Journal of Clinical Psychiatry addressed people who suffer from schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder. Those with schizophrenia are reported to undergo anxiety reduction and symptom improvement when L-theanine was administered.
This means that L-Theanine can contribute to keeping you relaxed while you work, as well as keep your anxiety and any similar stresses at bay. Without these distractions, you can go about your day fulfilling any tasks or work without the added headache of anxiety.
Lemon Balm in Nau Energy Drink
Another active ingredient in Nau Energy Drink is lemon balm. Its inclusion in Nau Energy Drink is beneficial in relaxing and calming the nerves.
A member of the mint family, lemon balm is an herb. Its leaves are used as medicine and to flavor foods. They have a mild lemon aroma.
In addition to its calming effects, lemon balm also contains chemicals that seem to sedate. In addition, it may reduce the proliferation of some bacteria and viruses. Lemon balm also increases alertness so if you’re looking for a boost, it’s right here.
The amount of lemon balm found in energy drinks is probably safe to consume. It is proven that taking up to 500 mg of lemon balm daily seems to be safe. There are generally no severe side effects, but some patients experience increased appetite, nausea, and dizziness
Acidity Regulator (Citric Acid):
The acid regulator in Nau Energy Drink is citric acid (E 330). Citric acid enhances the antioxidant activity of many other compounds, however, it is not an antioxidant in itself. In addition to serving as an acidity regulator, it also serves as an aroma compound.
We can benefit from the citric acid in several ways, such as maintaining a healthy immune system, preventing kidney stones, and improving our skin. Human cells may be protected against free radical damage by citric acid.
People with kidney stones benefit from citric acid because it inhibits the formation of new stones and breaks down small stones at the beginning of their formation.
Evidently, its inclusion has many helpful benefits so having it in Nau’s formula is definitely a win.
Nau Energy Drink contains maltodextrin, which is a white, starchy powder used to improve the taste, thickness, and shelf life of a variety of foods.
Although easy to digest, it provides fast energy and is a carbohydrate that is readily absorbed. This is why Nau Energy drinks use it.
Flavors of Nau Energy Drink:
Nau Energy Drink comes in four different flavors:
- Lemon Balm/ Elderberry
- Raspberry/ Blueberry
- Pineapple twist
- Watermelon Splash
- Green Apple
Lemon Balm is my personal favorite flavor. I find that it has a very distinctive taste. Compared to the rest of the gamer drinks I’ve tried so far, this is definitely more herbaceous.
It’s hard to pinpoint exactly what the flavor tastes similar to. However, do not expect to taste lemon; this is not that. Having said that, this flavor is a pretty good one. Unlike conventional gaming beverages, it isn’t at all sweet.
There’s no doubt that it is refreshing and is not too sugary. You can even add a little more to your shake if you are a sweet tooth, and that will make it taste even better.
Nonetheless, I personally didn’t like the Green Apple flavor. That flavoring just doesn’t work for me. There is a slight hint of sour apples in the flavor, almost like some minty cough syrup. It just tasted weird to me.
You can choose from other flavors as well according to your taste and preference but admittedly, the selection above is quite limited in comparison to other energy drinks such as G-Fuel that offer over 40 flavors.
Limited options can make it difficult for picky drinkers to opt for a drink so this is definitely something Nau should improve on to be able to cater to a wider audience.
If you’re curious about G-Fuel, check out this article.
In comparison with other energy drinks and energy powders I’ve tested, these drinks have mild flavors. These flavors, however, are incredible! I thought it was impossible, but Nau has cracked it: Natural flavors that taste great with sugar or sugar-free options but contain no caffeine! That means you won’t feel jittery.
No caffeine, no sugar, and getting that jolt of much-needed energy to finish your daily activities and get through the day. What else would you need?
Despite the lack of caffeine, Nau is boosting with its other ingredients like Lemon Balm and Cognivia so there won’t be any worry about a caffeine overdose or a caffeine withdrawal.
I highly recommend this drink, if you haven’t tried it yet, you can definitely give it a shot.
